Looked at the qualifications for Governor of New Jersey today. Contrasted
with the qualifications for U.S. presidency.
Worked on rough draft today in class. Students must finish the rough draft
for homework and staple on top of outline and brainstorming sheet(bottom

Complete par. IV for outline. Continue finding more factual information to
develop body paragraphs where needed. Many body paragraphs I checked don't
have enough reasons, facts, statistics, historical quotes etc.
Tomorrow we will begin writing the rough draft in class and students will
finish over the weekend.

Today we worked on the NJ Election for Governor. Students can earn extra
credit if they bring in any campaign pictures, literature, signs, bumper
stickers etc to decorate the bulletin board.
Students should set up outline for Paragraph 3. They should write the topic
(III)and outline the first two supporting details. We will work on pargraph
3 in class to help the students.
October 19
Worked in the media center today revising intro and first body paragraph
outline. Students should continue revising and adding information.
October 15-16
Due Monday - Finish outline for introduction. Many have already completed
this. Remember to include thesis at the end of the intro outline.
Then outline Paragraph II as we covered in class. Your topic for Par. II
will be your first subtopic from your thesis. You must then have three
supporting details and fully explain each supporting detail in outline form.
Use text, notebook or any valid source to find information.
This will be checked on Monday. It must be completed so I can look it over
and make suggestions on Monday. We will be in the media center. You have to
develop your own supporting details.

Begin brainstorming your position on whether the colonists should have become
Patriots or Loyalists by 1775.
You don't have to write anything. We will begin the writing process during
your next class
