Mission For The Class

English 8A/ Honors

The purpose of this class is to provide the instruction, time and 
environment you need to become reflective and critical readers, writers and 
thinkers.  Through the work we do in this class, each of you will be 
improving your skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing.  
We will use literature and our own writing to explore themes such as Lean on 
Me, Generation to Generation and Tales of the Strange and Mysterious.  There 
will also be one major research paper, writing workshops and independent 
reading.
