Why do I have to change clothes for gym class?
Our schools in New Jersey are fortunate enough to have physical education mandated by the State Dept. Of Education. Our programs must meet State Standards in order to ensure our students are getting the maximum impact from their Physical Education curriculum. For this reason our classes are physically challenging, usually causing a student to perspire. We require a change of clothes for several reasons, mainly hygenic in nature. Do you really want to be wearing sweaty clothes for the remainder of your school day after gym class? Also, changing clothes keeps your school attire clean and tidy for the rest of your classes.Back to Top

Why do we have to have 'Fitness Day'?
We want all of our students to understand the importance of LIFETIME physical fitness. Walking and jogging as well as some basic exercises are things you can do throughout your lifetime that are easily performed, inexpensive, and can remain challenging. Once a week we ask that you participate in the Fitness Day activities for your good health.Back to Top
A human being's lifespan is about 75 years or a bit more. Why not plan to live into your hundreds? Fitness is a major factor in good health. Activity can improve your heart's function, keep muscles strong, reduce the effects of arthritis and diabetes (may even prevent these conditions) and can help you maintain an acceptable body weight for your lifetime. Also it keeps you looking young! Just look at Mrs. Hamer...does she look 65?Back to Top
