Will I have to sing by myself?

Not until you feel that you're ready.  You will have to sing for me 
privately, though, so that I can determine which voice part is most 
appropriate for you at this time.  Don't worry.  I'll be gentle.  Besides, 
I've been teaching for a long time and there's no sound you can make that I 
haven't heard before.
