Do I have to change today?
Students are always required to change on a daily basis unless the student
posseses a medical excuse from the nurse or doctor's note.
--------------------------------------
What are we doing today?
Students will receive knowlege of the day's activity prior to beginning
class or at the end of the previous class. The teacher will inform all
students at the same time so that there is no repetition and no confusion.
--------------------------------------
Why do we have to learn skills?
Skills are the building blocks required to progress through an activity. All
students in physical education are taught skills to ensure proper knowledge
of each activity and to ensure the safety of each and every student.
--------------------------------------
Why do we have to take physical education?
The state of New Jersey requires that all students, grades K-12, participate
in physical education. All students at the secondary level must pass 9th,
10th, 11th, and 12th grade P.E. in order to graduate from high school.
Further, physical education provides each student with the knowledge and
skills necessary for lifelong physical activity, health, and wellness.

What is an unprepared?
An unprepared is a mark given to a student that has not changed for class.
This means that the student does not have the proper sneakers and/or
clothing necessary to participate in P.E. This student is not allowed to
participate in class for the day. Each unprepared is worth 5 points off of
the students FINAL average. Only 2 unprepared marks can be made up at
the end of each marking period. Students who are unprepared on "Fitness"
days will not be given a chance to make it up!
