NEWS from 2 Clair 12/23/09
READING: We'll be reading "At Play: Long Ago and Now" and will practice
the
skill "Author's Purpose" next week.
MATH:After our winter break, we will be working with patterns and moving
shapes by sliding, flipping and turning them.
SOCIAL STUDIES: we will be finishing Unit 5 after break. We will be
sending home study cards on January 4th and will be taking our test on
Thursday Jan. 7th.
ENGLISH: We will be doing daily journal writing beginning Jan. 4th. We
will also belearning about single possessive nouns.
SPELLING: To make managing our weekly Tic-Tac-Toe homework, I will be
giving each student a 2 pocket folder to use to keep all their papers
and word cards organized. the folder will be sent home on Monday and
should be returned on Friday with the completed Tic-Tac-Toe sheet and
completed work
