NEXT WEEK: 

READING:  We will read a story called "Let's Go Rock Collecting" and practice the skill making inferences.

SPELLING/PHONICS:  Students will spell words with a(l) and ough.  Tic Tac Toe homework will NOT be assigned for the remainder of the school year!  Thanks for all your help and assistance with the Tic Tac Toe this year.  There will not be a spelling test next week.

LANGUAGE ARTS/GRAMMAR/WRITING:  We will identify and use the helping verbs have, has, and had and use the suffix -tion in two syllable words.
 
MATH:  We will continue the unit on Fractions next week.

SOCIAL STUDIES:  We will begin a unit called "Ways of Living".  Students will learn about how families come from different places and the immigrants that came to Ellis Island.

HEALTH:  We will continue a chapter on "Healthy Foods".

*SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY (5-28 AND 5-29).
*TRACK & FIELD DAY WILL BE JUNE 1.  PLEASE RETURN LUNCH SLIPS.
*PLEASE RETURN ANY PICTURES OR PICTURE MONEY.
