Reminder - Memorial Day Weekend
For Memorial Day weekend, there will be no school on Friday, May 24 and Monday, May 27. This change in the original schedule is due to an unused snow day.

UPDATE - Walk-A-Thon
Due to the likelihood of inclement weather, the Walk-A-Thon will be held indoors tomorrow. Also, there is a time change for grades 3-5. They will now walk at 10:20 a.m. instead of 10:30 a.m. Parents are welcome to watch from the center of the room, keeping the perimeter clear for the children.
UPDATE - PTO Meeting
There will be no PTO meeting this Thursday, May 23.
Summer Enrichment Program
The Oakland Public School District is very proud to offer your children an extensive and diverse Summer Enrichment Program for students entering grades 2-8. The Summer Enrichment Program is scheduled for eight sessions from July 1 - July 12. (July 4 -5 school is closed.) All classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and from 10:35 a.m. - 12:35 p.m. Students may sign up for one or both sessions. As in the past, transportation remains the responsibilities of the adults.

Reminder - Grade 5 Band and Orchestra
Grade 5 Band and Orchestra students will be rehearsing at Valley Middle School on Tuesday, May 28. The school bus will depart from Dogwood Hill School at approximately 9:05 a.m. Students must have their instruments, music and a bagged lunch with them when they depart for VMS. To ensure the safety of all children, lunches with peanut products will not be permitted. Students will depart VMS for the return trip to Dogwood Hill School at approximately 12:50 p.m. The Grade 5 Band and Orchestra Concert will take place on the evening of May 28 at Valley Middle School at 7:00 p.m. Orchestra students are to report at 6:00 p.m., while band students are to report at 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 4 P.M. - 11 P.M. Chili's located at on Route 23 North in Riverdale will be donating 10% of the sales we generate back to the Dogwood Hill School PTO. In order for us to get credit, you will need to present the flyer (located in Forms/Documents) before ordering. So dine-in or order take-out and support our PTO. Fifth Grade Farewell Party Donations
The Dogwood fifth graders are having their Farewell Party on June 25th. Do any parents or grandparents work for a company that would be in a position to donate some snacks, party supplies or small items for the goodie bags? We need to provide for sixty children.
