Welcome to Dogwood Hill Speech and Language! Good communication skills lead to successful speaking, thinking, reading, writing, and learning. Speech and Language therapy is where children come to work on developing their vocabulary, grammar, concepts, and comprehension, as well as their ability to engage in successful social interactions! Students' understanding and/or expression of ideas will be targeted through a variety of engaging activities such as arts/crafts, book reading, role playing, and games. Some youngsters will work on producing speech sounds accurately, speaking in a fluent manner, or using an appropriate voice so that others can easily understand them! These goals are also completed in a fun and supportive environment. Regardless of why a child is attending speech and language, the goal is intelligible speech and appropriate language!
