We know we're a few days late on this, but we've FINALLY posted the 5 Finalists for our Best Website contest on our Facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/TeacherWebInc
. You have from now until midnight next Wednesday, May 22nd, to vote on your favorite. The winner will receive a free year of TeacherWeb, and the 4 runners-up will get $15 Starbucks giftcards, so vote wisely! The Finalists' websites are posted in their own photo album on our Facebook page, so check those out first, visit the sites, click around, then come back and vote via our poll.
Thanks for your participation - we were amazed by all the entries and fantastic websites that we got to review, and if you didn't end up in the Top 5, know that it's because there are so many stellar educators out there using our products to reach their students and families that it was almost impossible for us to choose.
Thanks again,
The folks at TeacherWeb

About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
Welcome to the Academic Skills Improvement Program (A.S.I.P.) Reading! As the Reading Specialist for Dogwood Hill, I assess each child's reading and writing level and identify strengths and weaknesses in their skills. When a need is identified, I work with the student in small groups, three to five times a week for thirty to forty minutes. I received my B.S. in Education from Seton Hall University and my Masters in Reading from William Paterson University. I began teaching at Dogwood Hill in 1999 and previously taught for ten years in the Teaneck school district. I continue to take additional graduate courses in an effort to stay abreast of current trends in reading/writing strategies and education.
Mission Label:
Mission
Reading opens the doors to our universe and facilitates a lifetime of learning. My goal is to create independent thinkers, strategic readers and creative writers. I hope to inspire and encourage a "love of learning" in my students.
