READING LOG: The students should be reading 15 minutes a night and recording
the minutes they read in their Reading Logs. Reading Logs will continue to be
a weekly assignment that will be due on Mondays.
MATH: Math Home-Links will be coming home Monday-Thursday. Please carefully
check over your child's Math homework and sign it at the top. This lets me
know that you have reviewed and discussed the concept. Please let me know if
your child experienced difficulty completing the assignment, so that I can
further review the skill with your child. Parents, please be sure to read the
explanation provided for you at the top of the Home-Link page. This will help
you assist your child with the assignment.
SPELLING: Spelling Homework will being the week of October 5th. Your child
will bring home a blue composition book. On the front cover is a list of
the weekly assignments required. The work is to be neatly done in pencil.
Also, please remind your child to date the page on the top first dotted line,
and to use both sides of the paper.
HOME SCHOOL CONNECTION: The Home School Connection sheet that correlates with
the Signatures story for the week will be sent home the week of October 5th.
On this sheet will be a list of the key words to accompany the story and
various activities that they can enjoy to enhance their enjoyment of the
story. The signed sheet is due back on Friday of each week. This is an
optional assignment, but please know this a great way to foster your child's
love for reading.
