Math

Our day will begin with Math as do our weather, calendar, day counting and temperature. During the first few weeks, your child is expected to commit to memory their telephone number and address!

Becoming familiar with an analog clock

Telling time to the hour

Explorations - comparing lengths of objects; practicing drawing straight lines with a straightedge; developing familiarity with what constitutes a set of dominoes

Writing cent notation

Comparing two numbers

Recording number of pennies

Exchanging pennies for nickels

Finding the values of various combinations of nickels and pennies

Using and writing number models for more than and less than stories
