Here are some helpful homework tips:
1. Find a quiet place where your child can
do his or her homework with minimal distractions.
2. Make sure that you are nearby so that
your child can ask for help when needed.
3. Find a time that best works for your
child. Some children perform better on their homework if they do it directly
after school. Other children prefer to have a snack and rest a while before
they are ready to do their homework.
4. When reading at night, make sure that
your child reads to you and you read to them as well. Maybe you can take turns
with your child. For example, you read a page, and then your child reads a
page. Children need to hear how adults read with fluency and expression to
become a more successful reader.
