LITTLE PAWS PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE

Election Information
On Tuesday, a bill was signed by the governor which provides that a local school district may adopt a resolution to change the date of the school district elections from April to the November general election date. The main idea is that more voters participate in November. A component of this bill provides that if the budget is below the state cap (2%) a public vote is not required for passing the budget. This issue will be on the agenda for the Frenchtown Board of Education's regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 31st. To learn more about the bill and to share questions or concerns about it, the Board of Education will be holding two informal meetings to discuss the topic: on Thursday, January 26th at 7:30 am before school, and on Tuesday, January 31st at 5:30 pm before the regular board meeting. Both meetings will offer the same opportunity - the purpose of holding two meetings is to accommodate the schedules of as many members of the public as possible.
