Early Act

September 2009

To the FrostElementary School Family:

As advisor of the Frost Elementary School Early Act Cub, I am pleased to invite your elementary
school student to be apart of the Frost Elementary School Early Act Club. Early Act is a unique
and vital school-wide public service club sponsored by the Rotary Club of South River/East
Brunswick. Open to grades 3-5, Early Act is not just a club, it is an opportunity for your child
to build character, learn leadership skills and develop a strong sense of community and
teamwork.

This is a club that energizes, engages and encourages young minds to create, and to give of themselves to their school, local, and global communities. In past years students in Early Act raised over $2,500 to help end world hunger, over $2,000 for Pennies Paients, collected funds for Pennies for Puppies, collected books for local Head Start literacy program, collected pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald house, organized books to help raise money for the school library, made crafts and visited seniors at Care One nursing home, as well as, made get well cards for a young girl from Iraq recovering from heart surgery at the Ronald McDonald House in New Brunswick. We've had busy and prosperous years. Throughout the Township, goodwill is spreading, and approximately 400 students were registered members of Early Act.

Have your child be part of a dynamic Club that teaches young students to be caring, helpful, and
respectful of others. Encourage them to be part of Early Act and learn how individuals, by
working together, can help their neighborhood, their school and even their global society. Make
a difference. Early Act gives its members a sense of pride, accomplishment and a foundation from
which good students and citizens are able to excel.

Look for the permission slips in child’s backpack and return it to me by Tuesday September 26,
2009. The club registration fee of $15 and fee form must be mailed directly to the Club /
Activity Registration Department. The club registration form is also located online at
http://www.ebnet.org .

I’m sure that your child’s involvement in the Early Act Club will be a positive and fun learning
experience. If you have any questions, please contact me at (732) 613-6855 or email at
kgrimmett@ebnet.org

Sincerely,
Ms. Kelly Grimmett
Early Act Club Advisor
