ILA ObjectivesReader's Workshop Objectives
- To define and identify different types of nonfiction (informational/narrative) Writer's Workshop Objectives - To gather ideas for realistic fiction by paying attention to the moments and issues in our lives.
- To generate story ideas by asking, "What books do I wish existed in the world?"
- To generate story ideas by asking questions. (Somebody wanted...but...so.)
- To write longer, more detailed story ideas. - To include elements of text we hope to write in a story idea - To choose an idea to develop into a strong story - To develop complex, believable characters - To draft using a story mountain - To revise word choice - To revise leads modeling after published authors - To revise endings modeling after published authors - To edit for capitalization, punctuation, quotation marks, and spelling |
