Please remember to send back the forms for receipt of returned field trip

What Have We Learned?
We have learned the colors red, yellow, green, blue, purple, orange, brown
and black.
We will talk about Thanksgiving in class this week. We will compare and
contrast the lives of Pilgrim children to our lives.
We are continuing with the letter "T" this week and reviewing all of our
sounds, letters and sight words to date.
We are counting by ones, twos, fives and tens. We are continuing to practice
our math skills.
We are continuing to explore trees this week in science. We looked at the
different types of trees in the school courtyard and made bark rubbings.
We are learning about writing lists, and how this is different from writing a
story.
We have learned the letters "M", "S", "F", "B", "C", "T".
We are continuing to work on our writing and reading. The students should be
practicing their independent reading books every night. Books will be sent
home Monday-Thursday and should be returned to school each day. Thank you for
your help with this!

We are continuing to work on using descriptive words to make our journals
interesting. We are making our own booklets about different topics.
We have library Monday for the morning class and Wednesday for the afternoon
class. We will start to check out books in October. They will be due back the
following week.
