What Have We Learned?
We have learned the colors red, yellow, green, blue, purple, orange, brown
and black.
We are learning the letter "C" this week. We will read The Cat Called.
We are counting by ones, twos, fives and tens. This week we are learning about
number stories and continuing working with teen numbers.
We are learning about families in social studies.
We are continuing to explore trees this week in science. We looked at the
different types of trees in the school courtyard and made bark rubbings.
We have learned the letters "M", "S", "F", "B", "C".
We are continuing to work on our writing and reading. The students should be
practicing their independent reading books every night, and bringing them to
school every day. Thank you for your help with this!
We have learned the sight words:

see the like they
We are continuing to work on using descriptive words to make our journals
interesting. We are making our own booklets about different topics.
We have library Monday for the morning class and Wednesday for the afternoon
class. We will start to check out books in October. They will be due back the
following week.
