Week of November 17-21, 2008
Classwork
This week in ILA we are learning the uppercase and lowercase letter T
using the book Tigers Clock. We will also be reading My Bear
and we will be learning the sight word "can" and "my" and identifying the
words in text. We will be working on story recall and will read Huggle's
Breakfast.
In Independent Reading we will be working on retelling a story,
questioning, parts of a story , and framing sight words and periods in text.
In Writers Workshop we will be writing sentences using best try
spelling, using spacemen to create space between words, and using
punctuation. We will also create a class list.
In Math we will be learning about the pan balance and will be creating
macaroni pattern necklaces and practicing writing the numbers 4 &5.
In Science we will be reading "Feast in the Forest" and will be
learning about what animals do to get ready for winter.

We will have a Food Drive Assembly Monday, November 17, 2008.
It would be greatly appreciated if you please send in nonperishable food from
