MONDAY:
      1. Take out your precut words.
      2. Write the rule in your Word Study Notebook.
      3. Create the columns in your Notebook.
      4. Sort your words; check the answer key in the appropriate folder; copy the words correctly into your notebook.
      5. Write additional words that pertain to your rule (at least 3).
      6. HW: Complete any unfinished classwork; sort and review words and RULE. There will be a quiz on    Friday.

TUESDAY: (Room 19)
1. Choose one word. Read the word and write it in the appropriate category. BE CAREFUL to spell
the word correctly.
2. Check your practice chart with the answer key in your folder.
3. Look up 3-5 words in the dictionary. Write the definition; and the part of speech.
4. HW: Complete any unfinished classwork; sort and review words and Rule. There will be a quiz on Friday.

WEDNESDAY: (Room 19)
      (PARTNER PRACTICE SORT)
      1. Write in the sort categories on the top of your chart.
      2. One partner choose a word. Read the word aloud and say a sentence with the word in it.
      3. The other partner writes the word in the appropriate category.
      4. After 7 minutes switch with your partner.
      5. Check your practice chart with the answer key in your folder.
      6. Write interesting, descriptive sentences for your sort words.Be sure to underline the sort word in the sentence.You   should have at least 5 sentences.
      7. HW: Complete any unfinished classwork; sort and review words and RULE. There will be a quiz on Friday.
