We are now drafting our fiction stories. Please remember the following:
Tell your story step by step using a story tellers voice.
Remember each dot on your story mountain represents a scene/small moment.
"Show Don't Tell"
Each scene should also have: A beginning, middle, and end
A setting
Characters who want things
Characters who feel and think
Obstacles that get in the way of what characters want
Action
Dialogue
Strong writers check their work. Do each of your sentences contain a subject, verb, and contain a complete thought? Strong writers also make sure their sentences do not run on and on.
