About The Teacher

My name is Ms. Harvey and this is my second year as a Skills Center teacher 
at Greater Newark Charter School. However I have been in Special Education 
for 5 years. I currently teach math and literacy in the Skills Center for 
grades 5-8. I love teaching!

Mission For The Class

 The mission for the Skills Center is to be a place where students will feel 
comfortable enough to be at their high quality best. Students will be able to 
explore various levels of critical thinking and exhibit 
creativity through their own personal style of expression.
 Learning, knowledge, and education are important to be productive in the 
society we in. However these things can be very fun and exciting. The goal 
for the Skills Center is to create that type of learning environment that 
every students learning style is embraced while exploring fun and exciting, 
educational activities. Students will leave with a sense of "Knowledge is 
Power!"
