Ms. Mooney grew up in southern New Jersey and graduated from Ramapo College
of New Jersey in 2004 with a bachelors degree in psychology and has her
teacher certification in elementary education. Last year, she taught third
grade in Winslow Township and this is her first year teaching 5th grade at
Greater Newark Charter school. She is thrilled to be working with such a
wonderful group of people as well as the terrific students at GNCS. Ms.
Mooney is looking forward to an exciting year and she can't wait to share
her ideas and passion for teaching with you.
Ms. Mooney's class mission is that each child will become a successful and
confident learner. She wants to help each child grow individually as a
learner and assist each child in exploring new ideas in a hands on manner.
The students should not be afraid to explore and express interests in the
topics we will be covering this year. She hopes to see each student
learning and having fun while doing so!
