Then write a paragraph that explains why you felt this was an important scene to the overall plot of the book.  Some questions to consider are; how did this scene change the characters outlook on their situation?  How would the book be different if this scene did not occur?  What made this scene exciting, sad, or meaningful?  How did this scene affect the other characters in the book?  If you were the author what would you have changed about this scene and why?  Please do not answer questions directly but use them to think about and develop your response.
