<div>This week in Algebra, we will be wrapping up Chapter 4.  On Monday, we will review the chapter in preparation for the test on Tuesday.  Students will be given a checkbook project for homework on Tuesday that is due on Wednesday, 12/2/09.  We will review the project in class on Wednesday and students will complete the Open Response for Chapter 4.</div>

<div>This week in Pre-Algebra, we will begin Chapter 3 by learning how to solve two-step equations on Monday and Tuesday.  On Wednesday, we will play a game to reinforce our understanding of simplifying expressions and solving equations.  I will be after school on Tuesday and encourage students who are struggling with either of these concepts to stay for extra-help.<br />

    <li>Homework must be done in pencil!</li>
    <li>Copy the problem exactly as it appears in the book (unless it's a word problem), show all work and circle your answer.</li>
    <li>Your homework should be completed on the next page of your notebook.</li>
    <li>Please list the assignment on the top of the page.</li>
    <li>Algebra I students - check your answers in the back of the book and note any questions you don't understand.  Be prepared to ask questions about them in class the next day.<br />
    </li>

<div>When you are Reading and Taking Notes (RTN), please be sure to do the following:</div>

    <li>Define any new vocabulary in your notes.</li>
    <li>Read through all example problems.</li>
    <li>Cover the solutions and retry the example problems in your notebooks to ensure understanding.</li>
    <li>Be prepared to ask questions on any concepts you did not understand.<br />
