About The Teacher
I returned to teaching during the 2007-2008 school year after being home with my two sons for 12 years. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. After working as an engineer for several years, I returned to school and earned a Masters degree in Math Education from Rutgers. When I’m not in the classroom, you will find me on an athletic field with one of my sons, at home facilitating the homework process or walking our Labrador Retriever throughout our neighborhood.
Mission Label:
Mission
I love mathematics and am very eager to share this passion with your children! Mathematics is an important part of our world and I encourage students to make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them. As our society becomes more dependant on technology, it is more critical for our children to develop an understanding of mathematical concepts and the analytical thinking used to solve math problems. My goal is for every student to have a positive experience in 7th grade math. I will provide a comfortable and encouraging environment with opportunities for hands-on learning. I encourage students to work together and discuss the problems they are solving with one another. By learning from and helping peers, they will reinforce the concepts that are being developed.
