Please email me by Thursday with what you'd like to bring in. ** If you were on the trip today you missed the following in class: 1. Independent Reading. 2. Notes on "Book Talks" - (copy in RRJ) When you want to "sell" a book, your book talk should be no more than five minutes long. You should: - show the cover of the book. - tell the title and author. - give key plot details, something exciting, but don't spoil the ending! - use exciting adjectives - be enthusiastic 3. RRJ 3- print from your computer or copy into your RRJ. 4. Writing - Students narrowed down their list of "how/why tale" topics to 2 or 3. Then, students developed each idea by thinking of characters, plot details, explanation, etc. You should develop at least 2 - to see which one will be better for a full story. You do NOT need to write out the whole story... just think of ideas for each and jot them down in your writer's notebook. On Monday, we will select ONE and plot outline it.
