About The Teacher
Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies! I am excited to begin another year at Hammarskjold Middle School. I graduated from The College of New Jersey where I majored in History and minored in Art History. I later returned to The College of New Jersey where I received my Masters in Teaching, Secondary Social Studies. I look forward to getting to know you all better. It is important to come to class prepared with a positive attitude and the necessary supplies. Please see the supply list for more information on what you need for class. Mission
The 7th Grade World History course takes a comprehensive look at World History from the fall of the Roman Empire to the Enlightenment period. We will examine topics such as the growth of Islam, Asian Civilizations, Medieval Societies, changes in Europe, the exploration of the New World, and the new ideas brought forth during the Enlightenment period and how they changed the world. This course will allow students to explore essential periods, people, and areas of the world that hold significance to the world we live in today. I expect that we will all have fun learning about the world this year.
