** IMPORTANT NOTE: Along with the posted nightly homework, students are
expected to read 5 nights a week (30 minutes each night). Students must log
their reading on their bookmark, get a parent signature, and turn bookmarks
in on Mondays for a grade.
In addition, students are responsible for completing their Reading
Response Journal (RRJ) each week. While reading, students should stop and jot
using post-it notes, and a total of ten post-its should be turned in each
week. Students must also respond to one question a week by writing a well-
developed paragraph. THIS IS EXPECTED EVEN WHEN THE NIGHTLY HOMEWORK IS
POSTED AS "NONE".
