What should I do if I am ever absent?
If you are ever absent for any reason, including pull-out music
lessons, it is YOUR responsibility to get the assignment. You
may contact a trustworthy classmate. You may also check with the
teacher for any classwork and homework assignments that you
miss. Your third option is to refer to the red binder (located
by the homework board) that lists our daily assignments,
including the Do Now. Do the HW, classwork, etc. If you do not
understand it, be sure to get help. For every excused absence
from school, you have TWO days to make it up. Be sure to turn in
the work. The teacher WILL NOT CHASE you for assignments.
What do I do if I am absent the day of a test or quiz?
Given that you receive advanced notice of tests and quizzes - if
you should ever happen to be absent the day of an assessment, you
must take it the next day! The planning of lessons is an
extensive process that entails making use of our very precious
classtime so that we have just enough time to cover our many
units of study. Catching up as quickly as possible is highly
recommended.
What is the best way to get in touch with Mrs. Skwish?
Email is the most effective.

50% Tests and quizzes
40% Graded assignments
10% Homework
How can I see my grade?
Your parents should have a password to get into Parent Access
(https://parents.ebnet.org). Grades are updated frequently so
you may monitor your progress. There should be no surprises. If
your parents don't have a password to Parent Access, please call
Mrs. Carolyn Gregory at (732) 613-6606 for assistance.
When is Mrs. Skwish available for help?
I am available during lunch and after school. Just let me know
when you are stopping by. Monday or Wednesday afternoons are
your best bet. Do not wait until it is too late (i.e. the day
before a test). As soon as you need help, get it.
What are the basic expectations for class?
Be prepared. Be nice. Work hard.
I lost my packet. What should I do?
You may borrow a friend's packet to make a copy, or you may
download the PDF version from this website found in
the "Handouts" section.
I lost my notebook, or my notebook is falling apart. What should I do?
DO NOT LOSE IT. Otherwise...
You have quite a bit of work to do, if you cannot locate your
notebook or if it is in irreparable condition. You will
MINIMALLY need to copy the pages pertaining to the current unit
of study into a new notebook.
