   Happy sunny and warm Monday! I hope you had a great weekend.We have a lot to accomplish this week in all of our subject areas. Get ready to work hard. Fasten your seat belts as we race on a new goal filled fourth grade racetrack!

   This is your last full week of 4th grade! Wow, time has really flown. In math, we'll be playing Mancala and later in the week we'll be doing some work with rotational symmetry and tessellations. In language arts, you'll be picking your best process writing piece to put in your writing folder. Get ready to go on a safari! In groups you'll be working to put together a Power Point or Pixie presentaion of the safar animals we learned about during our Kenya unit. Do you remember the author Patricia Polacco? We'll be reading a few more of her wonderfully written books. Then you and a partner will be choosing one of her stories and creating a commericial about it to present to the class. We'll be doing this at our Polacco Picnic on Friday!


     We have many things to accomplish this week so put on your learning hats! Remember to always put TIME, ENERGY, and EFFORT into everything you do. Completing your homework and turning it in on time shows everyone that you are a responsible and dedicated student, including yourself.
