Dear Parents,
I hope all the Dads and father figures enjoyed their weekend. This week is
going to be another exciting week in third grade. Thursday we will have our
final Spelling test and our final Language Arts test on Unit 6. Friday we are
going on a trip to Sterling Hill Mine and Museum. I cannot wait!
April showers bring May flowers! Third graders are continuing to work hard on
analyzing text and demonstrating their comprehension in their written
responses. We are discovering new facts through informational text and
enjoying fictional text as well. In math, we are continuing to think
critically with Math in Focus. In science, we are learning and studying life
structures. We have lima beans taped to the windows and are observing them
daily to see if there is any growth or change.

*Extra help will be held on Tuesdays at 8:20 A.M. Please send your
student with a note a day in advance stating that they will be attending extra
help and the subject they need assistance in. This will allow me to prepare
the necessary materials to help the students.
Please bring a healthy snack every day, we have lunch late.
Remember to bring all of your folders and books back to school each day.
Be sure to sign your student's planner each night after checking to make sure
he/she wrote down the homework and all assignments were completed. All
homework is due the next day unless otherwise stated.
