Dear Parents,
As you may know, the fifth graders will be taking the NJASK State
Assessment during the week of May 6. On Monday and Tuesday, the children
will be tested on English Language Arts (reading and writing). On Wednesday
and Thursday, they will be tested in Mathematics. Each student has done a
wonderful job preparing for this assessment. I am extremely proud of my
class and I know that each of them will shine! If you have any questions or
concerns regarding the NJASK, please feel free to contact me so I can answer
your inquiries. Please make sure that they have a healthy breakfast, restful
night's sleep, and a positive attitude when they come to school. These small
things will help ease anxiety and allow them to do their absolute best each
day.
I am very proud of my class! They are a hard working group of students that
truly support each other during each school day. It is nice to see!
After NJASK testing, the fifth grade will continue to work on the necessary
skills and concepts that they will need to learn before moving on to the
Middle School. Also, they have many special activities (The Musical!) to
look forward to. Please encourage them to come to school with their best
foot forward each day.
Thank you for all of your continued support. I hope that you all have a safe
and restful Memorial Day Weekend! It is hard to believe that we only have
forty days left together! I will treasure each day with my very special
students!
Happy May!!
Mr. McMullan
