I have been a teacher for fifteen years and am very proud to be a
part of the Oakland Public Schools. I have taught grades second through
fifth and enjoy working with children of all ages. In Oakland, I have taught
third, fourth, and fifth grades for seven years. I have also worked within
the Oakland community as the Varsity Cheerleading Coach for the nine time
National Champion and seven time league champion Indian Hills High School
Braves for fifteen years. I am a graduate of the William Paterson University
where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and
Sociology in 1998. I also earned my Master's Degree from Marygrove College in
the Art of Teaching in June 2007.
I look forward to working with the students and parents of Heights this
year as a fifth grade teacher. A quote that would best decribe my
personality and teaching style was written by Sir James M. Barrie. "Those
who bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves."
We will all work together to learn all that we can and help become
productive members of our community and school. We will exchange ideas in
a supportive manner and build self confidence within ourselves. We will
have an enjoyable year together by building new friendships, learning new
concepts, and helping achieve our goals as a class.
Our class motto: "If you believe it....you will achieve it!!"
