Blue skies, blooming flowers, gentle breezes, scurrying animals, and hard working third graders!
You know it is spring! Our third graders are working especially hard at analyzing the text and
demonstrating their comprehension in their written responses. Recently, we started to analyze,
respond, and make connections to poetry. We’ve learned how easy it is to identify and connect to a
poet’s theme. We also are digging deep into informational text and enjoying the entertaining aspects
of fiction. In math, we continue to learn and think critically as we approach the new strategies of
Math In Focus. Stay fact smart and keep drilling! In science we’ll stay with the spring theme and
study life structures. Also, we will become geologists as we study earth materials. It doesn’t really
matter what season it is. In third grade, every season brings new experiences!
