I can hardly believe it is December already! These three weeks of school
will be filled with learning and excitement for the upcoming holiday season.
Your children are reading the novel, Shiloh, and in language arts we will be
busy writing non fiction books about topics that the students are interested
in. They are very excited about producing a book about their favorite topics!
In math we are creating bar and line graphs and learning how to interpret data
on these types of graphs. In social studies, we are learning about the Leni
Lenape, who were the first inhabitants of the area we call New Jersey!
Of course, we will celebrate the holiday season as well. We will be learning
about the various cultural celebrations that happen in December.
Wishing you all wonderful holiday season.
Please know that I offer extra help for students on Wednesday morning at 8:20!
Parents - FYI:
Your child will be required to read a book of their choosing each night for
homework. Students will be carrying their free-reading books home each
night, and then bringing them back to school each day. Please purchase a sturdy
plastic carrier for this purpose, or you can simply use a ziplock bag.
All other homework will be written in your child's agenda each day. Please
review the agenda each night to be sure that your child has completed
assignments, and sign the agenda nightly. My website also has homework posted
for each night.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND COOPERATION!!
