What's New in Room 47!
It is quite hard to believe that we are now into the third marking period
already! Time has flown, and the children should be proud of how much they
have learned so far in third grade. We have many more adventures in learning
ahead. I am excited to see them progress through the second half of the year!
February was a short, but busy month! We completed the math chapter on
multiplication, and are now into the chapter on division. We will be
finishing up our explanatory writing piece shortly, and of course, we'll
continue to work on being better and stronger readers and writers. The
children are working hard at analyzing the text and answering questions using
critical thinking skills. We are deep into our study of famous African
Americans in social studies. We have also begun health class every
Wednesday. There are many more exiciting things in store for spring!
