Mrs. Emily Thompson
Heights Elementary School
Third Grade, Room 47
I was one of those children who always knew what they wanted to be when they
grew up. For me, it was a teacher! I have always had a passion for working
with children and for helping others learn and grow. I graduated from Seton
Hall University where I majored in both Elementary Education and Psychology.
I began my teaching career at Heights in 2004, and have previously taught
first grade for 7 years. I spent the last school year on maternity leave,
and now this will be my first year teaching third grade. I am very eager to
begin this new adventure with my students!
When I'm not teaching, you will find me enjoying my time with my large
family, especially my husband, Tim, and my 1 year old daughter, Leah. I also
love to visit the beach, cook and bake, read, and watch movies.
My goal is to provide a positive and safe learning environment where my
students are able to enjoy learning. It is important that every child work
to his/her potential, and strive to be the best he/she can be!
