Welcome to the Nutrition Challenge Webquest! Poor eating habits, weight gain, and lack of exercise have become serious problems in this country.You and the other members of your team will become the teachers to a younger group of children in your school. Your team of approximately four students will select a nutrient to study. You will pair off. Two students will create a Power Point presentation on their nutrient, while the other two create an informational brochure. Other class members will select different nutrients to study. Your goal is to learn enough about this nutrient so that you can teach an effective and entertaining lesson to the younger children when they come to visit. The lesson will include a nutritious snack that you will prepare with the assistance of the children. Make it fun, amusing, and factual. Remember, you can help improve the eating habits of young children through your lessons.
