The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that homework is a way for you to review what you have learned and to help you "know it" and to "make it your own." There are many ways to do this. After you have written your homework then comes the time for studying. You may want to use the index cards to review the terms, the people, and the concepts that you are studying. Make two piles of cards the cards you know and the cards you are having difficulty with. Study the ones that you are having more difficulty with. You may choose to have someone quiz you. You may want to make up a test for yourself and test how much you know. You might want to draw pictures and then with the drawing in hand give the narrative based on the picture you drew.Back to Top

If I study after I do my written homework will I know it for the test?
This all depends on the student. Some students will know the work after studying for a short amount of time. Some students will need a longer period of time to study. The key is to know yourself as a student. You get to know how you study best by doing it. After you find what works for you then continue to using those methods. In order for you to remember, understand and truly comprehend the material you might have to study and go away and do other things and come back and study again. It all depends on the person.Back to Top
