On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving I would like to make our snack time a
little special. Send enough snack/s to share with classmates. . Include
apple products, corn products, and items that might have been eaten at the
First Thanksgiving.( Since we do have a lot of allergies, keep it very
simple.)
Thanks for coming to the Pep Rally. Our second graders did a "top-notch" job
dancing the Cotton-Eye Joe. I was very proud of all of you.
Book report approval, topic animals with backbones. Due: Nov. 23rd.
Bar graph project were very good. There were many clever ideas.
Phonics: We are working on the ce as in face, ge as in page, and the se as
in mouse. Phonics test any time.
Reading: This week we will work on sequencing.
Math: Math time is covering more concepts. Does your child know the
difference between even and odd, how to round numbers, count by two's and
three's? This week we will learn about ordinal numbers and drill on word
problems. (possible facts test)
Grammar: Can you tell if a noun is singular or plural, regular or irregular?
(possible test.) We will continue to work on possessives.
Science: We will begin chapter 3.
Each Friday is bring a book to read day. We still have so many on-going Wall-
e projects. Ask your child about our Nov. poem, snake descriptions, and our
favorite desserts.
Please return photo money, remember the can food, and clothing drive. Your
help is greatly appreciated.
