Happy New Year to everyone.
Thank you all for the basket of goodies and the gift card that you gave me
for Christmas. You all made my Christmas so happy.
I can't believe that it is 2010. This will take some time to get used to.
We have a full week of school this week. I know it will be hard to get back
and I hope Santa was good to everyone.
Math this week will be review of the last chapter and we will be starting two
digit numbers: that is tens and ones. Counting by tens, counting groups of
ten and circling them and writing how many tens and ones== 32 is 3tens and 2
ones.
Spelling words are: tub, just,puff, funny, puppy,jump- write them Monday
night in Duck book.
Reading is Vocabulary bring, carry, us our, hold. We will review short u
and short e. We will discuss Homonyms--to,too,two, blew,blue, see,sea,
witch, which, deer, dear These are words that sound the same but are spelled
differently and mean different things.
We will learn the sound of c if followed by i or e It says sss. Also g
says jjj. Words are: city, receive, dice, giant, judge, gem.
Religion is the Glory to the Father prayer and how the Holy Spirit helped
start the Church.
In Science we will discuss camouflage and how it protects animals and we will
start CH 6- Land, Water and Air.
