<P><STRONG><U>FRIDAY FOLDER</U></STRONG>- WILL GO HOME EVERY FRIDAY WITH TESTS. PARENTS, PLEASE SIGN, DATE AND WRITE THE # OF TESTS ON THE BACK OF THE FOLDER. STUDENTS ARE TO RETURN THEM ON MONDAY, NO LATER. PARENTS THIS IS A WAY OF COMMUNICATING HOW WELL YOUR CHILD IS DOING IN CLASS. TEST WITH A GRADE OF 72 AND BELOW, WILL BE STAMP (SIGNED AND RETURNED) ALONG WITH THE FOLDER.</P>

<P><STRONG>PARENTS</STRONG>, PLEASE CHECK STUDENTS ASSIGNEMENT PAD FOR TEST & HOMEWORK. I WILL INITIAL THE ASSIGNMENT PAD ON A DAILY BASIS AND GRADUALLY STOP ONCE THE STUDENTS ARE IN THE ROUTINE OF COPYING THE HW.</P>

<P>The communication folder goes home everyday with homework handouts, upcoming events, anouncements, calendars, etc. Please ask for the folder daily and always returned papers as soon as possible. Do not wait for the due date or later. Sometimes unexpected situations occur.</P>

<P align=center><STRONG><U>HOMEWORK</U></STRONG></P>
<P align=left>Homework is very important. It is an essential part of the student's grade and must be completed at all times. Students should get into a routine for completing homework. I am concern, it is too soon for many students to have missed homework on the first full week of school. </P>
<P align=left>Reminder, I do collect homework and grade it, any missed homework is not a good grade and would lead to a Thursday detention. Notes will begin to go home with those students who do not have their HW.</P>
<P> </P>
<P>Students are responsible for keeping notes and class exercises in notebook at all times. It is important to use them as a references for completing HW assignments.</P>

Students will have nightly checkpoint lessons for homework, text books are needed in order to complete assignments.  Students must read the questions carefully and answer them correctly.</DIV>

<DIV>Students should be reviewing Prepositional Phrases nightly. We are reviewing them in class,  it is  ongoing and  important for students to identify prepositions in a sentence. <BR>

We began this chapter with  properties of multiplication and we also reviewed properties of addition.<BR>
We will practice them in class again this week. <BR>
Students should be studying their multiplication facts, flash cards is always a good help for them.<BR>
We will be reviewing the following in class, the Students will have a mid-chapter assessment on Friday, 12/18.<BR>
Multiplying 3 & 4 digits including money by one digit with regrouping.<BR>
Front-End Estimation<BR>
Patterns in Multiplication.<BR>

<DIV>NJ- 4 main regions and 6 faces. Chapter 2 test on Thursday 12/17.<BR>
The students were given notes in class. We completed in class the questions and answers at the end of the section.<BR>
Students will get a map to color and label to help them prepare for the test.<BR>

<DIV>New Jersey County Report- students will be assigned a county info to follow.</DIV>
