Science

We have started our trash power unit in science. The students will be
learning all about recycling, landfills, pollution, energy sources, etc. We
will be building landfills and completing a clean garbage lab. More
information to follow...

Our Landfill Labs are due on Monday, February 26. Make sure your child
remembers to follow the required lab report format.

PLEASE REMEMBER: THE STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING THE THE NOTES THEY
MISS DURING CLASS. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SHARE NOTEBOOKS WITH ANOTHER STUDENT
TO COPY MISSED NOTES.

Since our science program depends heavily on class experiments, the student
are becomming exposed to writing lab reports. Lab reports must be carefully
done and should be extremely detailed. Students are encouraged to ask
questions in class if they do not understand the expectations. There are
model lab reports and observation charts posted in the classroom at all
times. The students have also copied these formats in the back of their
science notebooks. Points will be deducted for each day that a lab report
is turned in late.
