The week of October 12th will be Peace Week. There will a family activity
that will be going home on Monday. Have fun with your child in completing it.
Have them returned as soon as possible so that they will be displayed in time
for conferences.
When the Friday Folders are issued to the students they need to be signed
and returned on Monday. Please take out all of the papers and keep them at
home for future reference. Only send back all quizzes and tests signed and
any assignment(s)that you or your child have a question about it. This is
an important resource for parents to know how their children are doing in
school. *All tests, Web logs, and reading lists are to be signed and
returned ASAP.
Parents please check you child's homework agenda on a daily basis. Set up a
routine to make sure this can be accomplished. The agenda is an important
communication piece between parent, student, and teacher. In the front of
the agenda there is the website address, teachers' email addresses and a
homework buddy's phone # if further assistance is needed.
The password this week is "memory writings." The students began writing in
their memory notebooks. If was great watching them chose a memory come up
with 3 topics that remind them of that memory and then chose which topic to
write about. They have already started utilizing their time to complete a 5
paragraph essay within 25 minutes. Ask them how they utilize their time.
*Remember to have your child write the password in their agendas
and a parent/guardian initial it.
