Rachel enjoys helping her aunt harvest raspberries and then makes jam with
them. Rachel and her aunt store the jars on shelves under the stairs in the
cellar, where it’s cool and dark. The shelves under the stairs are very
short at the top and get longer as they go down. There is room on the top
shelf for 4 jars of jam. On the second shelf, there is room for 4 more jars
or a total of 8 jars. Each shelf holds 4 more jars then the shelf directly
above it.
