Reading Workshop
We now look at our next unit
"Making Inferences." During this time, students will be trying to find clues
on the text when identifying a mood or emotion of a character. This
comprehension strategy is not easy!!
Writing Workshop
Our next unit is adding details to
our writing using our 5 senses.
Word Study (Spelling) Students
will be working through beginning word sorts to identify sounds and blends.
Students will create words by cutting letters out of old newpapers and
magazines. Completed words will be used on the Smartboard.
Math - We
will be finishing our unit on making change, adding up when making change,
adding and subtracting two digit numbers, and making numbers using base 10
blocks.
Science
Students (Palentologists) will be working with Dinosaurs in this next unit.
Social Studies
Students will be learning about
holidays around the world.
