2008-2009 USI Honors Students
You should all have your summer assignment packets. Take some quiet time to
look through them and e-mail me any questions you may have. Once you get
started with the reading highlight, underline and take notes. Doing this as
you read will help you during the writing. Get ready for a jam-packed year!
If you would like to turn in these writing assignments before the start of
school via e-mail, please don't worry about the part of the directions that
tell you to place your class period on them. Also I can only open Word or
Word Perfect so if you use a different word processing program then these
and you want to send them to me, please save your writings in rich text
format and send them to me that way. The alternative is to print them out
and place them in my mail box at school,(I believe the front office is
opened till 2 each day during the week) or you can bring them in for the
first day of class.

Your summer reading books are The Jungle and Flags of Our Fathers.
Since you will have an objective test on these when you return in September,
I recomend that you take notes!! Don't forget to review them when you
return.
