REQUIREMENTS:
Students are required to have a three ring binder with paper and a pen
or
pencil for each class.
EVALUATION:
HOMEWORK: It is the student's responsibility to complete all
assignments. Homework will not be accepted late. If absent, it is the
student's responsibility to complete all assignments and hand them in within
a resonable amount of time. One homework assignment per marking period will
be dropped. All homework must be done in the bilolgy notebook.
QUIZZES: Quizzes may be announced or unannounced and are based on
material from the textbook, class discussion, lab and homework. One quiz
per
marking period will be dropped. If absent for a quiz, that is the quiz that
will be dropped unless it is made up upon your immediate return to class.
Unannounced open notebook quizzes are given frequently. This encourages the
student to complete homework assignments in the notebook and to be prepared
for class each day bringing all required items.
LAB REPORTS: Lab reports are to be completed by each student and are
to
be submitted as requested.
CHAPTER TESTS: Chapter tests are more inclusive than quizzes and are
always announced. All tests must be taken on the date given. If absent,
the
test must be made up as directed.
