| Homework
Expect homework Monday-Thursday. (phonics homework will start after back-to-school night)
Phonics homework is collected every day. On Fridays I keep them and return them on Monday.
Please follow the directions that are stapled in your child's notebook.
Word Wall. Please work with your child on the word wall words.
Fridays we will have an assessment. Students will write sentences using the phonics and word wall
words.
Independent reading books go home every night. Please read with you child every night.
Make sure that your child brings back their reading bag to school. Students are required to read a
book each day.
Math we will usually have a Home Link, Practice Set and or Math Boxes.
Monthly reading log. The reading log is given at the beginning of each month and
expected to be returned at the end of that month.
Homework assignments are designed to extend work in the classroom.
Practicing skills at home is essential to a child's academic success. Please
take the time to work with your child.
