Students, please make sure that you always come to class prepared. Bring a
pencil, scissors, a glue stick, and crayons or colored pencils. Please, no
markers.
In my class, participation is extremely important. I give stickers for
participation and use them as part of your grade. The more you participate,
the more you will learn!
Finally, I'd like to take a moment to talk to you about the importance
of studying French. The New York/New Jersey area is a great place to use
French in your future career. There are so many companies and organizations
that do business with French-speaking countries. Some of these include
cosmetics companies such as L'Oréal, pharmaceutical companies like Novartis,
the United Nations, and many more. In fact, people are always astonished to
find out that about fifty countries use French as an official language.
Remember, speaking another language can help you in anything you choose to do
in the future.
